“The skill Colibri brings to graphic facilitation, meeting design and group dynamics is of the highest order. Having Colibri at a meeting increases participation and concrete results.”
Integral GIS is a small geospatial company with locations in Seattle, WA and Philadelphia, PA. The organization experienced rapid growth and, in the push to meet the needs of its clients, multiple departments were unintentionally creating silos. Communication between departments was becoming difficult, and the work was taking longer than expected.
Colibri facilitated a series of visioning sessions to help each team describe its role in support of Integral GIS clients. We then hosted a visioning retreat where each team shared its map, and the other teams offered feedback. Together, we developed a shared vision with clear outcomes. The graphic shown above outlines the vision/strategy, current state, team norms and objectives that align multiple teams to one shared vision.
- Renewed a cultural norm of getting input from all staff to develop vision and strategy. Staff were energized and bought in to the vision/strategy process.
- Created opportunities for team members to take leadership to implement strategies
- Called out barriers and offered efficiencies within the organization concerning how staff members are deployed
- Developed four client engagement strategies that were woven together to fully implement the plan.
